SHM 1400 Sheeter Hydraulic upgrade (OPT Limited)

Due to certain hydraulic components being obsolete on an older SHM 1400 sheeter our customer decided to upgrade with a new Comprint hydraulic upgrade as used on the new Comprint cutting machines.
The work involves removing the existing system and replacing with a new combined tank and pump together with minor changes to the electrical system. At the same time the hydraulic piping is renewed. In normal circumstances due to the age of the hydraulic cylinders these should also be replaced.
Comprint Sheeter, Czech Republic (OPT Limited)

Installation of a new Comprint TM 1500 sheeter with a double unwind stand. The final configuration of the machine also included two further double unwinds supplied by the customer.
The work involved unloading directly from the over seas container, bringing into the factory, installation and start up.
We would like to thank the customer concerned for their generous help during our stay in the Czech Republic.
SHM 1700 Twin Knife, UK - Peru (PPS Ltd)
June 2020
Dismantle and load in five 40 foot oversea containers for shipment to Peru for later installation. The SHM 1700 twin knife is used for sheeting carton for production of boxes used for packaging ring pull cans for the drinks industry. This machine has a splicer and an automatic delivery for finished sheets in order to allow continues running.
As this work was carried out in a production environment we had to ensure that all health and safety factors were covered whilst ensuring that the normal production of the factory was not disturbed.
Again we must thank our customer for their close co-operation in achieving a successful project.
SHM 1400 Compact, UK (OPT Ltd)

Pre-owned 1400 Compact sheeter with a four shafted un-wind stand. The ultimate goal for the customer is to sheet plastic film with a tissue paper interlay. Once testing is completed they should be able to convert as a two up conversion using this configuration.
SHM 1700 Gear Box Conversion (OPT Ltd)

Together with On Press Solutions Ltd, Bristol we were contracted to build a mechanical / electronic conversion in order to that we could remove an existing gear box drive for the knife cylinder of a 1700 SHM sheeter. Due to production commitments and the time involved it was not possible to guarantee a time period in order to have the gear box overhauled in time so a complete electronic replacement was decided.
Print Press Solutions Ltd designed and manufactured the mechanical solution for this conversion and converted the upgrade.

Rotary Press Gluing System UK (PPS Ltd)

The system included two gluing heads at the lower position of the former. A bracket with one gluing head, with softener, camera and sensor on the outside of the upper web on the former. Two further gluing heads positioned between two webs.
All gluing heads had to be controllable sideways from outside of the machine for safety reasons.
